Breaking news today that actor Jamie Campbell-Bower was cast to play one of the most powerful vampires in the Twilight series and leader of the Volturi, Caius. Now, I don't know about you guys but after looking at photos of this feminine man I have to say that he is totally NOT what I pictured Caius to look like. I do not remember the way he is described in the book and I mean to go back and look to see what Meyer wrote. Maybe after reading that section again I will change my mind and say "Gee golly, he is swell for the part!" The only other movie I have ever seen this guy in was Sweeny Todd and I remember thinking he was pretty girly in that. I would be interested to know what people who have read the series more recently think of this choice in thespian.

Alright, so I just skimmed through the chapter called "verdict" in New Moon where Caius first appears. Basically, he is described as having strikingly white long hair, red milky eyes, papery thin skin that looks chalky and skeletal like fingers. It alludes in no way that I saw to his age (in human years) or if he is hansome (or girly). So, I suppose the next characters I am looking forward to see cast are Aro or Alec.
